As an excellent expression of a wine made only withSangiovese grapes, this full-bodied wine is ruby red, velvety and elegant. It offers an imposing structure with a rich and fruity bouquet of cherries and wild berries, aromas of spices and violet.
This wine combines perfectly with elaborate meat and game dishes or aged cheeses. This wine can be preserved in the bottle for years, then it should be allowed to be breathe before being served.
This very young wine only opens up a bit after very extensive decanting. Dark garnet with a purple hue. On the nose, ripe red cherries, blackberries, plums, fresh Mediterranean herbs, dried mushrooms as well as toasted oak. Full-bodied, concentrated, with lovely notes of ripe blackberries, plums and red cherries, loamy dirt, graphite, roasted rosemary, rich tobacco, with medium-plus to high acidity and powerful tannins draping the mouth with notes of porcini mushrooms and nutmeg on the long, plush and generous finish. Impressive, very promising and complex wine.
