Shiloh Barbera Shor 2016

The Shiloh Shor Barbera is a unique and fine wine made exclusively with Barbera grapes, whose aging in French and American oak barrels for 16 months helps contribute to its superb equilibrium of flavors. The Shiloh Winery, located in Israel’s Central Mountain region creates a unique wine that has a medium to dark purple color through it is a touch brighter at the rim.

The nose is balanced, there is an aroma of oak, cedar and wood chips, but there is fruit as well, blueberries, prunes. There is a lingering spice on the nose and maybe some cigar or chocolate notes hidden at the back. This wine is definitely a full bodied wine, but is not overpowering with its alcohol taste.

It is light on the acid and light on the tannins with a touch of alcohol at the end in the back of the throat. There is not much in the mid palate or the finish. The Shiloh Shor Barbera is pairs best with pasta dishes, antipasti, and cold cuts.

Shiny purple-red color, with a flowery scent and prune notes in the background. The finish is well balanced be- tween the accentuated tannins and its fruity sweetness.
