This sparkling wine is made from 100% Loire grapes. Because of its northern location, the grapes maintain a high level of acidity. After fermentation, a portion of the juice is removed and the rest remains in contact with the skins to produce a beautiful pink color. Consistency and quality are carefully monitored to create very fine bubbles. The dosage has been perfected to make a clean, fruity but dry sparkling wine of extraordinary quality at a very attractive price.Color - A bright salmon pink with fine bubblesBouquet - Delicate and elegant with notes of strawberries and raspberriesTaste - Round and fresh with sweet berry notes, red currant and a long, fresh finishReal Simple December 2010 Marquis de la Tour Brut Rose -- Festive Bubblies for $20 and Under, Real Simple Magazine------------------------------------------Festive Bubblies for $20 and Under: Ring in the New Year with these bargain bottles. This gorgeous French import goes with almost anything: ripe notes of strawberries and freshly baked peaches make it a natural foil for zesty shrimp cocktail and spciy chicken satay. Everybody marveled at the gorgeous salmon pink color, the typical Loire Valley fines bulles or small bubbles. Delicate and elegant, with faint notes of berries and ripe fruit, and a good acidity that, as it enhances the taste of the grapes, prserves the wine from being cloying. Clean, crisp and refreshing: this wine competes with the best bubblies I've had, and you can't beat the price. Just don't tell your guest...------------------------------------------ Wine Report September 2006 86 Points - Exceptional Value ------------------------------------------Displaying a pretty salmon color with persistent tiny beads, this rose offered floral aromas with hints of cherry and stone fruits. A pleasant, tingly mouthfeel and bright cherry flavors greeted the palate. THE FINISH OF BLACK CHERRY AND CRISP ACIDITY LEFT TASTERS LONGING FOR ANOTHER SIP.
