Ledaig Scotch Single Malt 18 Year Sherry Wood Finish

The new limited edition Ledaig 18 year old, released in 2015, from the Tobermory distillery, on the Isle of Mull. This is a wonderful peated single malt whisky which has been finished in Spanish sherry wood, imparting a distinct sweetness which greatly compliments the spirit. The bottle is presented in a very nice and sturdy wooden box.
COLOR: Copper Gold.NOSE: Rich, fruity sherried smokiness ,lovely balance of phenols, seaweed and light creosote, dried chilli flakes, spicy black pepper with hints of sweet oakiness.PALATE: Powerful rich, sherried, herbal smoky flavors, orange peel, coffee, a touch of sea salt, tobacco and white pepper.FINISH: Long and quite pungent with more smoke, a hint of liquorice and sea spray.Unchill-filtered @ 46.3% ABV.
