Delamain Cognac Tres Venerable
Delamain Cognac Tres Venerable
Delamain Tres Venerable Grande Champagne Cognac is most succinctly described as a very old 'Pale & Dry'. It is the oldest Cognac in Delamain's standard range and honours its venerable status as having obtained the maximum age to which cognac can improve.
The original strength of the blend is normally at 50% ABV, but it is brought down to 40% by adding older and thinner 15% Cognac ('vieilles faibles,' very old, weak Grande Champagne) and one of the strengths of Delamain cognac. The design for the label comes from a French bank note, used during the French revolution.
Delamain's excellent Très Venerable Cognac de Grande Champagne, blended from spirit averaging 45-50 years of age, and cut from a strength of 45% down to 40% using old, weaker eaux-de-vie to maximise the depth of flavour.
