Collingwood Canadian Whisky
Collingwood Canadian Whisky
Collingwood is a unique, artisanal whisky. It is made at Canada's longest continuously owned and operated distillery in the town of Collingwood, Ontario, on the shores of Georgian Bay. As a toasted Maplewood stave finished whisky, Collingwood is full-flavored and complex, with a long, clean finish.
A blended Canadian whisky, Collingwood uses a toasted maplewood finishing technique, similar to a Tennessee whisky. As it's produced by Brown-Forman, who also produce Jack Daniels, perhaps that should come as no surprise. The result is smooth, easy drinking, sweet Canadian whisky.
This blended whisky is distilled at the Canadian Mist Distillery in Collingwood, a resort town about two hours north of Toronto in Ontario. After its initial time spent in oak, the whisky is further rested in a vat that includes maplewood staves.
