Produced in limited quantities, Ile de Re Cliffside Cellar enjoys a double aging on the island. Its first aging takes place in barrels with light tannins and the second is within the Fort de La Pree, a historic monument constructed in 1626 overlooking the ocean. Bathed in the spray of the Atlantic Ocean whose waves reach within meters of the cellar, the aging location of Ile de Re Cliffside Cellar gives the Cognac an exceptionally round and decidedly oceanic character. Equally enjoyable as an aperitif or post-meal drink, straight or with a few drops of mineral water. To enjoy the full range of aromas that this cognac has to offer, we recommend chilling it and then tasting it continuously as its temperature rises.

The Fort de Pree is situated on the Ile de Re, on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Built in 1626, this fort once guarded the French coastline and offered protection against foreign attacks on many occasions, and is now a listed historical monument. Cyril CAMUS and Patrick Leger were only recently granted permission to age Ile de Re Cliffside Cellar a few meters from the ocean in this historic location. The Cognac cellar provides an exceptional mellowness and distinctive maritime character.
