Campeon Tequila Anejo

Campeon (Spanish for "champion") tequilas are meant to be small batch tequilas made in traditional, handcrafted methods. It is unusual in that it is distilled only to 80 proof and not blended down with water, which will retain a great deal of the Blue Weber agave characteristics in the final product. Campeon Anejo tequila is aged in white oak barrels imparting a light color and flavor to the tequila. Campeon is very proud in that they do not use charred oak, which they feel can mask the true character of a spirit. Because of the barrels they use, the resulting color is lighter than other anejos that do employ charred oak.
