Balcones Whisky True Blue 100 Proof

True Blue is a unique corn whisky made from roasted Atole, a Hopi blue corn meal. We use this rich and nutty corn to produce a whisky that we hope will bring something new to the corn whisky tradition. At cask strength, True Blue is the way Balcones distillers have always enjoyed our roasted Hopi blue corn whisky.
Balcones "True Blue" offers bold, complex aromas of chocolate, caramel, toffee, vanilla and coffee, backed by a distinctive note of roasted corn. At 123 proof, the palate makes quite an impression, but the addition of water allows intricate notes of caramel, fudge, orange spice, fresh oak, pear, leather and cinnamon to emerge. Spicy notes of chili pepper appear on the long, warming finish.
