Balblair Scotch Single Malt 1983

Replacing the 1975 vintage, the Balblair 1983 is a lip-smackingly rich single malt Scotch whisky from the distillery in the Highlands. Matured in ex-bourbon barrels since 1983, it's got a palate packed with cracking sweetness and a warming hint of oak.
Nose: Warm toffee syrup drizzled over a classic banana split, complete with vanilla ice-cream, chocolate sprinkles and a cherry on the top. Yum yum!\n\nPalate: The sweet treats from the nose calm down just a little on the palate, with a spicy flutter of cinnamon and oak balancing out the fresh fruit and butterscotch rather well.\n\nFinish: Long and equally enjoyable as the rest of this whisky.
