Ruffino Prosecco has been produced from grapes grown in the hilly area of Valdobbiadene, which is the most historically vocated region for the production of Prosecco. Bright straw yellow with fine bubbles. The bouquet is fragrant and intensely fruity. It shows clean notes of apples, pears and citrus, accompanied by slight hints of hawthorn, wisteria and elder. Crisp, clean and delicate with fine bubble caressing. Intense sensations of apples and peaches drive a pleasant aftertaste, that is reminiscent of fruity and floral aromas. The year 1927 is a very special year for Ruffino: The wine Riserva Ducale is produced for the first time. With Riserva Ducale, originally produced as a Chianti Stravecchio, Ruffino desires to show everyone that wines from the Chianti area can stand their ground in the company of the best wines from the world. The name chosen for this wine, Riserva Ducale, is inspired by the Duke of Aosta. New international prizes are awarded to Ruffino: The Gran Premio at the International Expo in Barcellona in 1929 and the Grand Diploma at the expo in Rio de Janeiro the same year.

During the eighties Ruffino's desire to meet new, exciting challenges leads to the acquisition of two new estates. In 1984 the Greppone Mazzi Estate is added to Ruffino's collection of Tuscan estates and the company begins to produce a Brunello di Montalcino - a grand Tuscan red wine which had already gained a renowned international reputation. In 1988 the Santedame Estate in Chianti Classico is acquired. New wines see the light: The Libaio Chardonnay and the Aziano Chianti Classico , for example. In 1987 the Aziano wins a prize in the Weinpraemierung in Zurig, and in 1988 the Libaio is awarded the Grand Prix in the Canadian contest Selection Mondial in Montreal.
